WESLEY BRIDGE - Centre forward who scored 188 goals for Burscough in two spells between 1947 & 1955. Three times scoring over 50 goals in a season.
JIMMY ASPINALL - Local lad, a full back of tremendous consistency who turned down opportunity to move into League football. Career spanned ten years between 1946 & 1956.
LOUIS BIMPSON - Transferred to Liverpool in January 1953 for a fee that eventually reached £1,250, then a large sum for a non-league player. Went on to play almost 100 games for the Anfield club before joining Blackburn Rovers and playing in 1960 FA Cup Final.
JOHN DISLEY - Often referred to as the most skilful player to ever don the green shirt. Unlucky not to win amateur international honours. Won Lancashire Combination titles with club between 1953 & 1957.
DOMINIC MCGRAIL - Dom McGrail (as he was known) was an excellent inside forward who scored 41 goals for the Linnets between 1950 and 1953 - including two hat-tricks. His best season in terms of goal scoring was the 1950/51 season when he netted 20 goals. Turned down an offer of full time football from Leicester City due to the fact he was getting married!
JOHN VINCENT - Club's record scorer with 60 goals in 1953-54 season, Vincent's only full season with Burscough. Went on to make name in New Brighton's FA Cup giantkilling team of 1956-57 season.
BOB JONES - A magnificent servant of the club who had green blood running through his veins. A strong tackling centre half who captained the club to their 1966-67 Lancashire Junior Cup success.
JIMMY HAMMELL - In many people's eyes the outstanding Burscough player of the 1960s. A skilful player with great close control who got more than his fair share of goals as well.
BRIAN ROBINSON - Prolific scorer between 1968 & 1972, scoring a total of 150 goals for club, including 51 during 1968-69 season.
RYAN BOWEN - Local lad who is one of the club's longest serving players of modern times. Joined club as a youth player.
LEE McEVILLY - Transferred to Rochdale for £20,000 in December 2001 and within 116 days had won full international cap for Northern Ireland against Spain.
GARY MARTINDALE - Will always be remembered for scoring the two goals in the FA Trophy Final at Villa Park in May 2003. In first spell with club was transferred to Bolton Wanderers for £10,000.
