Defender/Midfield. Ryan is something of a local hero with the Linnets supporters. His Grandfather played for the club in the 1940’s and he was born and brought up a few hundred yards from the ground. Now in his thirties, he began with the clubs youth section and progressed into the first-team as a teenager in the then North-West Counties League. Has been involved with four promotion winning Burscough teams, was in the FA Trophy winning team in 2003 as well as the side that beat Gillingham in the FA Cup in 2005. Has easily appeared more times for Burscough than any other player.
