Robbie Booth
Midfield/Striker
Age: 21

Robbie is an exciting and talented player equally adept on the right of midfield or as a striker. Made over 30 Conference appearances for Southport before joining the Linnets in September 2006. Previous to Southport Robbie made several appearances for Chester City.

Sean Clancy
Defender
Age: 21

Joined the Linnets from Altrincham in September 07. Sean impressed whilst on loan from Southport during our championship winning season. Having left Southport Sean played in America for a college side during the summer of 07 before joining Altrincham following trials with football league sides.

Joey Dunn

Age: -

Joey Dunne is well known in non-league circles in the north-west having played for, among others, Burscough in the late 1980s, Runcorn and Altrincham, Joey also has experience as reserve team manager with Runcorn, Altrincham and Southport. Joined the Linnets June 2006.

Neil Fitzhenry
Defender
Age: 28

Another Liam Watson recruit from Southport in July 2006. Neil spent five years at Wigan Athletic making his way through the youth team to make seven first team appearances before moving on to Chester City and then to Finn Harps in Ireland where he was voted player of the year. He returned to England in May 2002 where he made over 100 Conference appearances for Leigh RMI before in November 2003 he joined Southport from Workington.

Adam Flynn
Defender
Age: 23

Signed for the Linnets in June 2007 from Prescot Cables. Equally at home as a full back or in central defence. A cultured defender who progressed through Liverpool's Academy playing a large number of Youth/Reserve games. Adam picked up the managers player of the year award jointly with Tony Mcmillan for season 2007/08

Zak Hibbert
Goalkeeper
Age: 19

Zak has come through the ranks at Burscough having been a member of the very successful Youth team and been the regular goalkeeper for the reserves side. Has now become part of the First team squad since Liam Watson`s arrival as manager in 2006

Farrell Kilbane
Defender
Age: 32

Farrell is another of Liam Watson`s pre season signings in June 2006 and has played for Preston North End and Cambridge United. In his semi-professional career Farrell spent two years at Stafford Rangers before joining Lancaster City in 1999; he joined Southport at the start of the 2004-5 season and was a member of the Conference North championship side before in November 2005 making the move to Stalybridge Celtic. Farrell was voted the supporters player of the year for 2006/07.

Ciaran Kilheeney
Striker
Age: 23

Ciaran signed for the Linnets in September 2006 for an undisclosed fee from Ashton United. A former Manchester City trainee, he has had spells at Exeter City, Mossley and Radcliffe Borough prior to joining Ashton United. Ciaran's eye for a goal saw him called up to represent Middlesex Wanderers on their summer tour to South Africa in 2007. Finished joint golden boot winner in the Blue Square North 2007/08 with 21 goals and picked up the supporters and players player of the year awards for season 2007/08

Mal Liptrot is an experienced scout who has worked closely with Liam Watson for a number of years. Joined the Linnets in June 2006.

Matty McGinn
Defender/Midfield
Age: 24

Equally adept at Left Back or Left Midfield. Matty signed for the Linnets in September 2006 following his release from Southport.Made 20+ appearances in the Football Conference whilst at the Sandgrounders. Previous clubs include Runcorn Halton.

Anthony McMillan
Goalkeeper
Age: 25

Joined the Linnets from Lancaster City in June 2006. Tony began his career at Preston North End where he was youth and reserve team goalkeeper under David Moyes; after a spell at Wigan Athletic he signed for Runcorn Halton in early 2001 where he played over 200 games; this was followed by a move to Lancaster City in March 2005 where he played Conference North football. Picked up the managers player of the year for the 2007/08 season jointly with Adam Flynn.

Alan Moogan
Midfield
Age: 23

A cultured and combative midfield player who joined the Linnets, following a 2 year injury absence, in the Summer of 2006. Previously captained Everton`s reserve side.

Brian Moogan
Defence/Midfield
Age: 24

Joined the Linnets in October 2007 from Vauxhall Motors. Equally at home in defence or midfield Brian is an experianced and talented player who can list Lancaster City and Everton as his previous clubs. Whilst at Everton Brian captained the reserves and played in an F.A Youth Cup final for the Premier League side in 2002.

Dominic Morley
Midfield
Age: 26

Dom is a combative midfield player who was originally on Liverpool's books where he was a member of the reserve team Dominic joined Runcorn Halton FC from Droylsden in September 2001 before making the move to Southport where he played in the Conference under Paul Futcher and Mark Wright; he returned to Southport in May 2004 and became part of their championship winning conference north side and was voted players player of the year.Another of Liam Watsons pre season signings from Southport. Signed in June 2006.

Craig Noone
Midfield
Age: 20

Signed for the Linnets in November 2007 having joined from neighbours Skelmersdale United. Craig is a very exciting prospect who progressed through the youth and reserve sides at Skelmersdale United and in to the first team. Craig spent a period of time in the summer of 2007 on trial at Royal Antwerp of Belgium who are a feeder club of Manchester United.

Matty Parry
Midfield
Age: 23

Matty Signed in the 2003-04 season from Prescot Cables. Also played for Cheshire Lines in Liverpool County Combination. Made first team debut in January 2004 after impressing in reserves. Very skilful wide midfield player who began as a striker. Matty is presently the longest serving player with Burscough having well over 100 appearances.

Chris Price
Midfield
Age: 31

Chris Price is a midfield player with Football League experience at Everton, Wigan Athletic and Oxford United. Chris played in Norway with Moss FK before, following spells at Chester City, Marine and with Morecambe in the Conference, he signed for Runcorn FC Halton 2000. In November 2003 Chris joined Southport from Runcorn where Liam Watson made him club captain. In the Summer 2005 Chris joined Stalybridge Celtic. Signed for the Linnets June 2006 and is club captain.

Dave Roberts
Defender
Age: 19

A versatile defender who signed for Burscough in the summer of 2006 having impressed in pre season. A local lad who is a former Wigan Athletic trainee. Dave's versatility came to the fore when throughout 2006/07 he played in several positions within the team to great effect. His performances earned him the Players player of the year award for 2006/07. Called up to represent Middlesex Wanderers on their summer tour to South Africa in 2007.

Mel Singleton

Previously held a similar position with Southport. Worked with Burscough youth and reserve teams before being appointed first team physio in 2002.

Allan Smart
Forward
Age: 34

Signed from Carnegie Premier League side Portadown in July 2007. A powerful former Premiership striker with Watford who has commanded £340,000 in transfer fees during a distinguished football career. Famously scored the vital goal for Watford in the 1999 play offs at Wembley to secure their first promotion to the Premiership. Previous clubs include Preston North End, Bury, Oldham Athletic, MK Dons and Stoke City.

Mike Tomlinson
Defender
Age: 26

Joined Burscough in June 2006 from Vauxhall Motors.Mike is a talented and skilful defender who played for Runcorn FC Halton where he was player of the year in 2002. In March 2003 he joined Vauxhall Motors for a four figure fee and captained the side. Mike is an England semi-professional international having earned his cap against Belgium.

Liam Watson
Manager

Liam is a highly respected and ambitious manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience gained during a very successful career in the game. As a player Liam was an outstanding striker who played for Warrington, Preston North End, Runcorn, Marine, Accrington Stanley, Witton Albion and England at semi-professional international level. In September 2000 Liam embarked upon his managerial career at Runcorn FC Halton as player-manager before becoming Southport's manager in October 2003 where he had considerable success steering the Haig Avenue club into the National Conference via the Unibond League in 2003-4 and the Conference North championship in season 2004-5.Became manager in June 2006 and had immediate success guiding the Linnets to a remarkeable treble of trophys in his first season.
